What to engrave, how to fit it in the space and how to get every letter exactly right.

Personalized pieces are made for you, so a few minutes of planning goes a long way. Each customizable product shows its own options—fonts, engraving sides and character limits—right on the product page.

What you should know

Engraving ideas

Names and initials — a first name, a monogram or a set of family initials.
Dates — a wedding, a birthday or a first meeting, for example 06.14.2025.
Roman numerals — a classic way to write a date, such as VI.XIV.MMXXV.
Coordinates — the latitude and longitude of a place that matters.
A short word or phrase — “Always”, “Forever”, a nickname or an inside joke.

Fitting your text

Character limits depend on the piece—small rings and cuffs may allow 7–10 characters, while bars and tags allow more. Spaces and symbols usually count as characters.
Shorter text engraves larger and reads more clearly.
On multi-sided pieces you can choose how many sides to engrave; each side has its own limit.

Capitalization and spelling

Type your text exactly as you’d like it to appear—capital letters, spaces and punctuation included. Then read it back letter by letter, especially names and dates, before placing your order.

If something isn’t right

If the engraving isn’t what you expected, contact us before starting a return—in most cases we can remake your piece, even if the original order had a typo. Personalized pieces can also be returned within 30 days for store credit or an exchange; see Returns & Exchanges.

FAQ

How many characters can I engrave?

It depends on the piece. Each product page shows the limit—for example, some rings allow up to 7 characters and some cuffs up to 10.

Can I engrave symbols or emojis?

Where symbols are available, they are listed as options on the product page. If you’d like something that isn’t listed, contact us before ordering.

Can I return a personalized piece?

Yes. Personalized and engraved pieces can be returned within 30 days of delivery for store credit or an exchange.

Can I engrave both sides?

Many pieces offer front and back engraving. The available sides are shown as options on the product page.
